After doing a lot of reading, I am going to switch my car from the current German Castrol 0W30 to Amsoil Z-Rod 10W30. The Amsoil has higher ZDDP and phosphorus that is not allowed in current API requirements and is of the levels that will support a flat tappet cam. I think with the higher spring forces on the pushrods this may be important for longevity of the motor. It can't hurt anyways. This oil is also high in the 30W range at 100 degrees C as is the German Castrol.

One other aspect of this oil I really like is its ability to prevent corrosion. Since I store my car over the winter and am in a humid environment with salty air, I like this aspect of the oil very much. I do put the car in a "Carbag" over the winter, but overall the environment is very damp where I live.

Thought I would bring this thread back. I did get the Z-Rod oil and did the change last weekend. This morning, this thread was on another forum. It appears Comp has recognized this problem as well. Interesting reading, here is the link: Link to oil thread
