Valve Float?

I did not do anything to the cam on installation. I installed it straight up. As for the miscut key way. I compared the lunati crank to my stock and the looked (eyeballed) to be the same position. I really don't think the headers are holding me back. They are holding me down but as for this for down I really doubt it. Other guys are running these headers and making near 500. My exhaust is 2.5 conjoined to a 3 inch with a magnaflow open muffler. I'm running he ls6 intake. I think I may buy a degree wheel and see what is going on.

I've seen some make 470whp on prcs and others make 390rwhp.. It's hard to say what your issue is just sitting here guessing, I don't feel it's headers.. You say u installed cam correctly.. I assume your pr are the correct length.. I'm outta ideas... U know what I'm. Sayin..

Yeah I hear you. I was out of ideas and that's why I posted. Extra eyes are better than one set. I'll figure this out. I'm tearing it down Friday and checking the degree of the cam.

Well I figured it out... I think. I degreed the cam and it cam out 111.5 as opposed to 110. No big deal. Could have been an error on my part. The crank key way is absolutely spot on. I found the problem when I re measured push rods. When I installed them we put the dual indicator on the valve and when we tightened the rocker it pushed the valve open. It opened about .175. When the oil pressure bleed off it returned to zero. So in high rpm my oil pressure pumped up the lifters enough to hang the valves open. I'm still confused on how this happened since I measured these like crazy. This time we pulled all the stops and measured all sorts of ways dial indicator, comp pr checker, torque method and they all say I was initially wrong. Lessons learned. Hopefully this gets me my missing power

Yeah these mantons weren't cheap. On the bright side they are right up the road from me so I'm gonna drive these up to them Monday and have them shorten the ones I've got. That should save some money.
