EngineTech Valves or Reuse OEM Valves?
I'll be sending a pair of 243's to AI for my head/cam build at the end of October. I want to minimize down time so I'm thinking of picking these up so I could send the heads for porting now so that it'll be ready as opposed to waiting 'til October to disassemble my 241's for it's valves. However, I haven't heard much of EngineTech's product quality. Anyone with some insight?
It is usually frowned upon to bring new parts to the machineshop, I know some engine shops actually raise labor rates if you bring parts yourself.
If you must buy valves first I would get them from the forum and get stock.

It's part of the price package. Along with the porting, they'll install your valvetrain as well:
"Pricing is for work applied to a pair (2) of cylinder head castings and components YOU supply unless otherwise noted. We are happy to build your heads with whichever spring kit, valve, etc. you would like."
