Valve Covers clearance w/ Jesel
I am using a set of Jesel SS rockers on my LS6. I am installing
a AMW catch can at the same time. I didn't want to remove the Baffles
from the valve covers, but it looks like I have to. If you are using Jesels,
did you have to do any other grinding on the valve covers?
I could get one of the Trick Flow 1/2 spacers for $100, but then would
I need to buy different (longer) spark plug wires?
Thanks!

I have the same combo waiting to go on so I would love to hear any ideas.

I found that with valvecover spacers I'd have to relocate the coilpacks because there was not enough room between the heater box and the valvecover for them. The coilpacks fit fine on the drivers side, but the plugwires weren't long enough. I have a set of spacers I'd sell you for $75 and you pay shipping. Never used because of this problem.

I'm interested in your spacer, what kind is it? Does it included
hardware and gasket? Is the Camaro a tighter fit than the Corvette?
Thanks!

I'm not sure if the Vette's are a tighter fit. I've honestly never thought about it. I'm pretty sure they're Thunder Racing's. I'm not positive. The guy I bought them from was in the same boat. Still brand new. I can get you pics if you want them. They have the bolt extenders and gaskets.

Thanks

I dont need the catch can im not getting any oil in the hose that leads to the intake much less any into the intake itself. I welded some little pieces of aluminum into the knotches I cut into the valve covers so I kind of rebuilt the deverters that where there. it seems to have worked.

I had the same problem when I tried to put my valve covers on with the Jesel rockers. After removing all baffling and trying to clearence the stock covers with no success, I had about a quarter inch all around I ended up getting some tall valve covers off ebay. The actual construction was pretty good, but the fact that they did not use spacers between the cover and head around the bolt, they would constantly slide around and end up sitting on the rockers and leaking oil! After several tries of getting them to stay put, I ended up using the stock bolts after drilling the retaining holes out so the stock rubber grommet would fit, and this has solved my problem with alignment and oil leaks. The only other problem is that my passenger side coil packs hit the HVAC box and there is no way to solve this to remove the HVAC box. Well I like my A/C a little too much to do that, so I had one bolt holding on the coils with them set at a angle away from the HVAC box. And anyone using taller valve covers the truck sparkplug wires give you the extra length needed. This worked but didn't look too go so I finally ordered some 1/2 inch spacers from bmr and will be installing those whenever i get home from offshore!
