Default Flaw in block. Will this affect it?

So i started tearing down an lq9 i bought that had 75k miles , For my 408 build. As i pull the valley cover i seen this defect in the block. looks like a crack... i can feel it on the under side as well , but feels very solid. Not sure to just leave it.. To cut it out? or if this will effect anything latter? let me know what you think... thanks.

That looks notmal if im looking at the correct spot. If you have ever had a gen 3 block apart before they have alot of casting imperfections so nothing to be worried about.

I agree, casting flaw. I wouldn't be worried by it.

It look like the oil drain back port, no big deal. Before i built my engine i took a die grinder and removed all the ruff casting edges to smooth the flow of oil. And Ive seen allot worse than that from the factory , you will be fine.
