Default Pulling heads, then leaving them off for a month

Is there anything special I should to to prevent rust or other oxidation inside my block when I take off my heads. I plan on having my own heads ported, so I'll need to leave my engine in my car with the heads off for about 4 weeks before I can put them back on. Other than cover the engine with a plastic tarp, is there anything special I should do to the cylinders or where the lifters go or anything?

So coat the surface of the block, the piston faces, and insides of the cylinders with WD40? Should I spray it down the holes where the lifters go or should I just stuff clean rags down in there?

Anything else, other than cover the whole thing with a tarp? TIA

Remove all coolant than spray them down with WD40.

I did the same thing. Just make sure you get all the coolant out first and spray it down. I sprayed it down when I was putting heads back on as well.
