Valve train noise Got an 06 1500 ccsb i just swapped my 4.8 for a 5.3. While i had the 5.3 out i put the ls6 cam Lunati springs and comp lifters. Used the stock pushrods. I have significantly more noise in the top end now. Is this mainly due to my stock pushrods?? Is this to be expected?? What's the preload supposed to be? Thanks
Yes, you'll need longer PRs with the LS6 cam. CompCam list the #850-16 lifter with a recommended pre-load within .030" to .040".

Are my stock pushrods 7.400??? You said .030 to .040?? That's it?? No wonder it's making noise. I've got a .050 smaller base cam and put tighter tolerance lifters than stock as far as preload is concerned. I was under the understanding that stock preload was .060-.080?? Is that correct
