If you are close to sea level I would think about getting a set of injectors. I know the n98 cars have a 28lb injector, but to be safe you might step up a bit. You can get away with either a ported LS6 pump or the melling high pressure. I always its a crying shame to do the work and then put a stock pump back in there. Its not that much more for an aftermarket one.

I've got TSP's ported LS6 and it's a quality piece. Pretty big difference in pressure between the stock one I pulled off.

I used the stock LS6 pump at my cam swap. Oil pressure up all across the board. IMO don't need anything more.

We like to run the FAST 36 lb LS1 injectors on these types of setups because they are direct LS1 replacements and will give you some room to grow if you choose to try and make more power.

You can get some Pontiac SC Grand Prix/Buick Regal SC stockers which are the same as the Fast ones...

The melling 10296 is a high volume pump meant for larger oil pans. If you have a stock oil pan use the 10295. Or a ported LS6 will work great as well.

I'm confused. How did your pressure go up Using a stock pump? What do you mean by up ? My oil pressure never get below 50psi with my new high pressure pump. And that's at idle

I thought the 10295 didn't really do much as the increased pressure doesn't show. If you want more volume for the top end, you use the 10296 with the standard spring and 6 qts for a stock pan.

Lot's of conflicting info from reputable builders out there on the subject.

This one. Always replace the gears as well as the chain.
