Default Know how to do the math to figure out approximate P/V clearance?

For instance...... Heads were milled .040 ; Lunati piston valve reliefs are 2cc which is .160 on the intake and and .120 on the exhaust according to Lunati. Cam is 242/242 @ .050 Lift is .610/.610 113 +4*

With these numbers is there a way to figure out approximate clearance #s?

When I ordered my cam from cmotorsports.com they had a piston to valve clearance calculator that determined my piston to valve clearance within .001" when I put the cam in and actually tested it. May want to give them a call.

The only true way to determine P/V clearance is to check it! Make sure if you do check it that you use a solid lifter or a modified hydraulic one. I use some modeling clay and then measure the imprint.
