There's a big difference between a guy who maxes out his mods with a really well thought out setup like yours(making 470rwhp with your cam is damn good) and a guy throwing the biggest cam possible on a stock headed car with an ls6 intake. Just putting that out there.

Both cars running LS6 intakes, both cars running 3.42 gears, both cars having ported heads. (Mine 5.3, his LS6).

Baby cams FTW.

I'm not against your baby cam. My cam isent huge either. But I think you had the advantage here. Your cam works better with the parts you have. That ms3 needed more gear. Like 4.10s to perform. Had he changed gears he may have spanked you

Here's a video of my car Engine all stock. 3.73 gears and a tsp rumbler cat back. Other car has ported 243s. Stock ls1 98 intake. A227-235 cam. Bôth of us on street tires and he has the fuel pump and all kinds of stuff I dident have. All the cam and power in the world will not help you if you cant drive it and get it to hook up. He was catching me but at the end of the day he lost. I did this to him twice in a row from both lanes. My engine was stock as is gets with manifolds and cats. Like I said only mods where gears and cat back.

With your current mods the 226/230, with your future mods the 231/238.

I have a stock cube LS1 in my pickup. I stuffed a 224 / 228 115LSA with a 3.73 axle ratio and small tires to compensate for it to be the same as my TA, and I hate it !
Course for a truck, bad choice. Tho even in a camaro or TA, it would still buck in 1st gear with 0 overlap ! That said, you'll have a hard time driving it normal in a parking lot @ Idle if you go bigger . I know all will say different but it's a forum and all will chime in..
Depends on how the future brings and how you will drive it .
Tho with an automatic tranny, might be ok ?
Thats a tune issue not a cam size issue. 224/228 should drive like stock if the tuner has a clue what hes doing.
