I think the two cams are very similair in power. The FM13 has a better idle, but it also costs a good bit more than the TSP cam. I don't think one is any better than the other, they are both good cams. My computer at home has crashed, but when it is back up.. I'll post a graph of the two against each other... both of them with the belts on. The FM13 has a little stronger midrange, but they are both pretty equal at the top.
1fastws6, yes my cam is an FM13 grind with a slightly different twist catered to my needs...

The idle on the TSP231/237 is very lopey. It's definately not clean or perfect, though tuning works wonders.

BTW Damian, the lobes Allan uses are NOT as aggressive as an XE R lobe.

FWIW, a TSP 231/237 cam with Patriot Stage 2 LS6 style heads went 10.85 @ 123 this past weekend. That is a very strong H/C car. The race weight was 3500lbs with the driver.

Yes Gomer picked up 9rwhp peak & power across the midrange... BUT he also added new bigger valve heads, short belt, new ported throttle body, and a electric water pump with the new camshaft.
Still sound impressive to you?
Gomer is now testing the new TSP Torquer Camshaft
233/233 .595/.595 112+2
It offers better driveability than the 231.237 camshaft, & also makes awesome midrange
