i HAVE A 5.7 AND IM SEE GUYS PUT PRC Stage 2.5 5.3L CNC Ported Heads ON THEIR CARS AND MAKE MORE POWER LIKE 22 HP OVER MINE WITH THE SAME MODS, STOCK BOTTOM END

WHAT IM ASKING IS WOULD IF I'LD BE BETTTER TO DO THAT OR JUST HAVE MY STOCK LS1 HEADS CNC Ported ,

WHAT BOUT MILLING THEM DOWN TO UP COMPRESSION AND WOULD I HAVE TO FLY CUT MY PISTONS , NOT SURE IF THE FLY CUTING WILL ADD RISK TO BURNING THROUGH A PISTON SENCE IM RUNNING A 150 SHOT

Was this compared back to back, same cars, same dyno, same day, etc...If not there is no way to tell since there are way too many variables With that said I have those same heads, and i'm sure all things being equal, that I gained more than 22 hp lol. The car runs strong as hell with these heads and Torquer V2 cam

 

Do you remember the combustion cc on ur head , how much are they rasing your compression ratio up to u think

correct me if im wrong this is why everyone is bolting on the heads for mor compression

 

And if I'm going to drop 1500 on heads, I'll save a bit more for an aftermarket casting. Hell, there's AFR's and TFS's in here for that price... sometimes a bit lower. But agreed with HCI2000SS... They should have picked up more than 22hp PEAK, and a lot more under the curve, where you're car **likely** spends the majority of it's time anyway.

 

the tsp 5.3 heads should cost $1300.

 

I have them on my 370 with 12:1 comp and couldn't be happier, however I will be swapping the entire top end one of these days.
