Default 5.3 broken block

I have 2003 5.3 in my k5. Recently broke the block. Now I have a 2008 5.3 complete engine. I swapped it into my k5 and it don't turn on. I found out the reluctor gears are different. What would I have to change insde the 08 motor to make it work with my gen 3 system?

You would need to have a machine shop do a reluctor swap on the crank.

Or fab a 24x reluctor and either weld it to the inner part of the crank pulley or a bolt on the pullet some how and all 24 cut-aways have to be perfect and fab a mount externally for the crank sensor . Sounds like fun ? ,,,,,I fabed a 7x reluctor welded to crank pulley on a chevy 3.5L that was a swap into a vehicle that had a 3.4L ,,,,,,,,,,,,it works perfectly ,,,,,,,,I probably spent 3 hours on it ,,,,,maybe a little more .

^^^^^that sounds a lot easier than a homemade reluctor wheel for sure!
