Default Need advice on building my short block??

What do you guys suggest for building my ls1 short block??i was leaning towards new aftermarket pistons and rods with stock crank!!how much hp will stock crank support ??

Yes, ALL of the above. 700+hp I would suggest using a set of MAHLE pistons (powerpak series) along with a set of EAGLE h-beam rods, and have a local machine shop get everything a cleaned/machined up and balanced for best results. Having the whole entire new rotating assembly balanced will be a must. Crankshaft will just need to be cleaned and polished. This particular bottom end setup will handle easy 650hp+ all day with NO issues. KING or CLEVITE P-series rod/main bearings would be fitting also. I would run Dura-bond brand for cam bearings myself.

What is the power goal? You are just wasting money on forged pistons etc...if your not going wild or boost

I'm adding kenne bell to my motor, prob 650 to rear wheels

ur looking to make alot of horsepower, boosted horsepower for that matter. dont go cheap, get a set of Callies Compstar rods and Wiseco/Diamond pistons. the stock crank will hold the power no problem, put the arp main studs in it too while your down there. You dont want to do it twice, just did a build like this 2 years ago cost me $2400 for parts and machine work (I assembled it myself)

No way. Stock stroke will make just as much power if not more, and it will keep more compression height in the piston for added strength.
