why do you want to bore so far?
If to salvage a block I would just get another.
If chasing displacement then...................................

First you need to have that block sonic checked to bore it that much safely.

Two, you need to measure wall thickness

Third, how much power and boost are you looking to make?

This could be a recipe for disaster

You need to read this. I would leave the block as is for forced induction of any kind or sleave it if it need to be larger bore for Ls3 type heads.

I bought a stroker 408 and the block is at 4.031 and need new pistons. Wiseco has some in a 4.035 size, but need to be special ordered at 2-3 wks lead time. So I was weighing other options availiable. I just might use my ls2 block with a 4.005 piston. This engine will be turbocharged and goal is 800-900 HP in a tbss

I wouldn't waste an aluminum block on a TBSS, just find another iron LQ4/9 block that you can get away with a standard minimal overbore on.

for you to really hold 800-900hp, you need a better block or a sleeved one. that bored out 6.0 may hold for a while, but its not the route id take.
