knocking ticking passenger valve train
I have a 2000 ls1 block that ever since I bought the engine has a passenger side ticking knocking noise. I originally had put the patriot predator heads on it and a small cam. the noise got louder. Eventually I spun a rod bearing and rebuilt the entire engine as a 383. This is a full lunati rotating assembly and mauhle pistons-6cc. I still have the same heads. I have replaced the lifters with ls7 lifters 2 times and have gone through 3 sets of different length pushrods (longer and shorter) I have since stayed with my 7.55 pr. My cam is an ms4. the knocking is still there and only on the passenger side. I have used 5w/20, 10/30, and now rotella 15/40. My valve train was recently redone with the trunion upgrade of which no audible change was made. It is not an exhaust leak. Does anyone have any idea what this can be. it has been driving me crazy for nearly a year now. It is louder when cold and quiets with heat but never goes away

I've talked with you on the phone about the predator heads, do you have your A.I.R system still hooked up, I had a similar sound changed everything spent lots of dollars and it ended up being a bad check valve in that sysem on passenger side so I just pulled the whole system pump and all it was tuned out anyway and noise never returned
