Default lq4 build help

Hey guys new to the ls motors so I'm looking some advice. I'm swapping a lq4 in place of a lt1 in my camaro. I have a empty block I was given a long block tore it down and it has spun two rods. I have stock 317 heads and the block are the only parts reusable. I'm looking to build a street strip car. Maybe buy a stock crank but I'm not sure what the best budget heads, pistons, rods, ect. I might spray this motor but cant afford boost and advice will be appreciated
Thanks Dustyn

If you get some milled off of your heads and maybe some port work they will work great for you...depending in how much you want to spend, right now you could just go with a forged, and/stroker kit...if it were mine, I'd build a 408 stroker.....well, that is what I did

I'm not wanting to stroke it just maybe forged pistons and rods if needed I'm looking 450-500 rwhp I've been told I want meet that goal with 243 heads. So what's the best budget heads Im not planing to use the 317 castings

If your buying a new rotating assembly it's really not much moreover to do a 408. Also 450-500 whp will be harder to achieve on stock cubes. You'll need Nice heads and cam to make it have a good curve. If you go 408 you can get away with some slightly cheaper heads and still make the same or more whp but you will make gobs more torque...

I'd go
408 stroker kit
L92 heads (budget) afr if you wanna spend more coin
Custom cam
Arp rod bolts
Fast intake if budget allows

What's the cheapest I can buy a stroker kit all I can find is 2000$ or more and I'm slowly piecing it together so can't take a 2000 dollar blow. Although ill probably have that much in heads unless I find a deallol
