Default cheater cam??

I have 2002 trans am A4 with long tubes, borla cb, lid and tune. I also bought some 243 heads but haven't installed them yet. I was thinking of buying the V3 cheater but don't know if I should. What cam do u all recommend? I would like for it to be a sleeper but would consider others. Thanks

I won't buy anything grinded by compcams if you ask me, soft metal issues numerous times. I'm trying howards this time.

This cam would work real well with the 243s and be completely stealthy.
Stock like idle and driving manners.

Agree, that would just crackle a bit at idle and run strong.

Even though it's grindedered by Comp.........

You don't need the wide split, go with a single pattern or mild split cam.
Here's some good examples: 218/222 115+2, 220/220 115lsa+3, 220/224 116lsa+3, or a 222/222 116lsa+3, or 222/226 117lsa+4. All of these would have -10* overlap.
Martin at Tick can get you the right cam for your needs/wants. Now if you want a shelf grind that will also work good then get a TSP 220/220 with a 115lsa.

youre not gonna want a single pattern cam with stock heads, and what converter are you going with? My own spec cam (218/226 117+3) would be great for what youre looking for. 3200+ stall would work well even with stock gearing, broad powerband.

Been preaching the same thing on here. 3 local motors failed due to Comp Cam garbage and cams were not even near specs on cam card....
