More aggressive lobes should make more power and torque at a given duration, provide better throttle response, and enhance drivability due to decreased overlap off the seat.

The downside is they beat up the springs, rockers, and lifters/pushrods more.

A happy medium is finding some that are aggressive off the seat but ease the valve back down as it closes.

That seems to be the new horizon. However, proper install protocol and timely maintenance does deliver stable and repetitive results.
Lobes I do not like are LSK from Compcams.
XE-R is one of the most aggressive.

A lot of people are under the impression that the more lift you run the more power you produce. But everything has limits and slapping .650' lift on stock heads is not the answer.

I agree. I wouldn't run LSK lobes on a street car.

Also lift doesn't mean a lobe is aggressive. XE-R lobes are some of the most aggressive lobes out there and they are relatively low lift compared to everything else out there.

Either way, I think on a 114 LSA with say a 112 ICL this cam would have a relatively early IVC and late closing IVC and would produce tabletop torque and a good peak number without a ton of overlap. Good for a street car.
