Default LQ4 pushrod ?

I used the search and found out how to check my pushrod length using the EO/IC method Shane uses and checking how many turns to 22 ft. lbs. Here is my setup & what I got.

02 LQ4 stock
03 LS6 cam
LS7 lifters
Stock replacement GM MLS head gaskets
317's surfaced .003 & a 5 angle valve job

From 0 lash to 22 ft. lbs. I got 1/2 a turn. So this is telling me I need longer pushrods. .050 longer maybe? Does this sound right? It say's 1 1/4 to 1 3/4 turns for correct preload. Everyone local has told me oh you can just run the stock pushrods with that combo. I don't want the dreaded sewing machine noise. I didn't think .003 & a valve job would make that much of a difference. I greatly appreciate anyone's help.

Thanks, Mike

I know this an old thread, but what did you end up going with and any results?
