Default rod bearings for resized rods

arp bolts resized stock rods.
anyone used Clevite CB663 in this situation? I thought the correct part number for resized stock rods with arp bolts was CB1776.

I wouldn't use the 663's if I were you. They're meant for a housing bore .002" smaller and you may lose the crush that keeps the bearing from spinning in the bore.

You need the 1776's. They are for a housing bore .002 over stock.

Remember, ls and old small blocks use the same rod bearings, so in that aspect, if it doesn't make sense relating to an ls, it probably makes sense to a small block.

yes and in the Clevittes I was only able to find 1776-A ,,,,,,,,which is an aluminum bearing which should be fine but there are other choices like Federal Mogule ,,,,,,in their online catalog They show every undersize and a cpl different qualities ,,,,,,,standard, racing ,,,,etc all in the .002" larger outer diameter bearing .
