Default Reinstalling the drivers side head on my 2000 WS6 T/A question.

Yo Guys. I had a broken header bolt that could not be removed without taking the head off car. Now I'm ready to reinstall the head to the block. Just found out its not that simple on LS-1 engines. I see many different post for the torque specs. Can someone walk me though the reinstall. Never did this before.Don't want to do it wrong. I have reinstalled heads on old school engines. Just never an LS1. Thanks for any help. Mike.

Are you using stock head bolts or ARP bolts? they have different torque specs. If the stock bolts they are single use only as they are torque to yield style. below is the torque sequence.

and make sure you chase the thread holes in the block really good to get all the crap out of them, and then uses some qtips to get the rest of the coolant out of the bolt holes. You do not want any coolant in there not only will it mess up your torque specs, it will crack the block when it heats up and expands.

Make sure to run a chase down all the head bolt threads and clean it up really well afterwards. If you don't, you'll be buying a new engine soon after.
