Default Best Driveability 230 Duration Cam

Planning a cam only swap want some feedback from some people on the board about what cams there running that still have great driveability without any surging and bucking. Looking at cams in the 23x/23x range. If you could post up your other mods, power numbers, and mpg would be very helpful

Thanks in advance just came to the darkside owning lt1 cars for the last 10yrs.

My friends car has a 231/234 112+2 LSL/LXL lobes. It runs 11.40s with stock 241's milled .030. Full weight car. The car makes crazy power under the curve. I tuned it and it drives good and gets pretty good mpg for a modded car.

All my mods are in my sig, and I run a V2 Torquer cam. Personally, i'm very happy with it...nice choppy idle, great drivability down as low as 1500 rpm, and strong mid range and top end punch

Any of the Stage 1-2 Torque Max cams or Street Heat cams we have will drive very well and be very easy to tune.

Your tuner has more to do with your drive ability than the cam does

I had a 236* streetsweeper cam, ran 10.6's 128 and made 425-430 cam only. Drove great on the street. No surging ever, no stalling, anything, Good tune is a must, not sure MPG, but put 2,200 miles on it one weekend, and raced it.

Use something in the LOW 230 range and use 113 LSA. Can't go wrong here. And having a "top notch" tuner works out even better.

230/238 113+2 here. I'm an amateur tuner and still have got it daily driveable.

So far it's ran 11.7@115 in ~1400DA at 3650lbs, gets around 19mpg highway.

Are their any programs that calculate DCR using SCR and cam timing? If so, how big could one go and retain stock like DCR?
