Where does the power start coming in on the V2 versus the SNS's and where will the power peak out?

When you say, "where does the power start coming in" I feel like every person will have a "different point" in which they feel the power starts to come in.

I can say that with a set of TEA 243's and the SNS Stage 3 that at 4000rpm through a locked A4 it is making nearly 425ft. lbs. of torque and torque peaks at 4750rpm's. With a manual transmission it will make a higher figure down low, but not much more than a locked A4 will with an efficient converter. Horsepower peaks at 6200ish rpm's.

I guess I'm just trying to figure which one has the broadest rpm range with a nice curve looks like the V2 has that from what I seen on the dyno. Any dyno info on the other cams for a comparison?

Anyone else with input on a cam choice or have first hand exp. with MS3,Ms4,Polluter V2,G5X3,G5x4,Trex,Raptr,F14,F15,F16 ect? or any others i have not mentioned? I'm really looking for a big cam with decent street manners and a nice broad torque curve to help get me close to the magic 500whp!

Type those numbers in the search box..It usually brings up old threads of members who have/want that cam. That's all I got, I let Martin at tick do all the work to spec out and answer ALOT of my questions/concerns. He specked out a 231/234 111+3.

I'd go with the Tick SNS torqueMAX Stage 3.

They are high on my list however those other two customs seem similar and the one being 113lca might make the lower end a bit better maybe?

The 113lsa isn't going to make the low-end better, the 111lsa will and it'll have more DCR.

I thought the 113 would be a bit better down low due to less overlap and be have better street habits but i'm far from a cam guru! But this one (235/242 .64x / .62x 111+3) one i found has my interest just would like to know what to expect from it! Seems close to be between the Polluter and SNS cams.

I doubt you'll gain anything(except increased Valvetrain wear) from the additional lift above .621" on the intake lobes, but you will gain a little DCR with it having 1* more advance which isn't really any advantage since you can always advance the Tick cam 1-2 degrees more.

I have 1st hand experience with the F14 high lift. 232/234 .646/.612 114lsa. I ran that cam with patriot performace 59cc 243 heads in my M6 daily driver for about 3yrs. I eventually melted a piston on the spray. Anyway, it drove great, sounded great and ran strong. It put down 434whp/396wtq N/A and 565/585 on 120 dryshot. I had flp 1 3/4 headers, flp y-pipe, hooker catback, ls6 intake, 25% ud pulley, 10bolt 4.30gears, 4.10gears, 3.90gears (i like swapping gears lol)

I know the rwhp is nowhere near what your looking for. But with some high dollar heads, fast intake, 1 7/8 (kooks, AR) headers it would have made some where in the area of 470whp. I agree with everyone else, its going to take a bigger cam to get to 500whp and the devils in the details but you obviously know that.

Take a good look at the F16 and Godzilla Jr. made by Futral. Hope that helped a little. Here is a video of me on the spray though. I am in the second race, red ss
