Default LQ4 Block, GTO Oil Pan, which windage?

as the title states, i have a 6.0L LQ4 going into my BMW, with a 2004 LS1 GTO oil pan for fitment.

i read in a few different threads that it MIGHT be possible to use the stock LQ4 windage tray, but it would need modification.

others said that you needed an F-Body/GTO specific windage tray to match the pan you were using.

anyone?
