Default People w/ EPS cams, post your setups

I was going to post this in the dyno section but I thought it might get more views here.

I know EPS cams are popular on here and have read how bad Comp Cam's quality control is.

I'm wondering if anyone is making big numbers and going fast down the track w/ EPS cams.

I'm just curious to see what others are getting out of their setups.

Thanks!

J

theres some dyno graphs on the eps 226-234 in the dyno section where with ai or tea 243s have done like 460-470 hp so with a 3600 stall and some 3.73 or 4.10s, you know theyre gonna boogie on down

I know that. That's why I worded it the way I did. It sounded right in my head anyway.

I have a EPS 226/230 cam w/ TEA heads, ported FAST 92, LT's, etc. It did 430hp/420ft lbs with really bad valve float(machine shop set the install height at 1.81 instead of the 1.72 it was suppose to be at) and a slipping clutch. Since I have fixed all the issues the car is way faster than it was when it was dyno'd. I'm either going to get it retuned or learn how to tune it myself.

Thanks for replies guys. It's good to see the EPS stuff putting out good numbers and times. After I get my car lined out I hope to run bottom 11's but we will see. I'm definately considering buying HP Tuners or EFI Live and learn to tune it myself.

I have also considered ditching my set of XS long tubes for a set of 1 7/8 ARH's or Kooks but I don't know if I will pick up anything or not. It's amazing the information on the 1 3/4 and 1 7/8 header debates on here. Some swear its worth it others don't. I guess it really depends on each setup.

I've got an 02 Z28 with a EPS 230/234 .600/.601 111+3 LSA. Longblock is stock aside from valvesprings and UDP, also had a dual exhaust and a SLP lid. Made 390/350 on a mustang dyno last summer when it was tuned. Made 355/347 with the stock cam. Drivability is only ok.

Took it to the track and ran a disappointing 13.3 @ 113-114mph...
