Default Combustion chamber size

What are the advantages of different chamber size on 243 heads. I know it affects compression but how does it affect flow and HP? What would be a good chamber size for 243s on a LQ4?

What are your goals? Depends a lot on piston relief and cam. We also need to know how far out of the hole the piston goes and what head gasket you plan to run. Then finally, what octane gas do you plan to run?

The pistons are stock LQ4
Thinking Cometic .051 head gaskets
Just a street motor running 93 octane
Current cam is an EPS 226/230 110LSA .598 intake .600 exhaust

If you mill 243 heads .020", that will increase the CR a little more than a full point above a stock LQ4.
