thanks, martin recommended those as well. Im leaning more toward a beehive design for valvetrain mass reduction, along with ti retainers and keepers.

Looks like your building a nasty s14.... Good luck as well, but luck is not needed, just money.... Lol

The duals are well well worth the extra weight. They also give you some peace of mind that if one spring breaks you still have a chance to save your motor. If that beehive snaps, and lemme tell ya how many times people have had that happen! You are gonna lose a cylinder.

And the ls6 casting are way better, tbey would be worth probably 20-30 hp more

i found 799 castings for 400 bucks. Good deal?

I mean seriously, if i mill these 853 and port the snot out of em theyre still bad?? That makes no sense.... If i mill them say .020 will i have ls6 intake mani fitment issues? If not im just gonna mill them.

They wont be as good, not much different maybe 20hp or so, but they are worth it.

I sold my 243 heads locally for $350

And you can mill them more than that if you have the ptv clearance. I wouldnt mill past .030 though. I like to leave room to resurface in the future should something happen.
