Default Fair price to pay on replacement of oil pan gasket and end seals?

Just wondering what would be a fair price to pay to have someone replace the oil pan gasket and front/rear seals?

Are you really sure that is the problem?
What vehicle?
I wouldn't expect the oilpan gasket to leak unless it was reused and even then I would think if reused intelligently(clean/proper torque/no damage) it would be OK.

02' TA Its actually the rear seal that looks to be leaking, but would want to replace all the seals on the oil pan at this time. It isn't comming from the oil sender in the back of the intake/block. I just don't have the time to do it, and its a DD.

I would speculate a lot more $$ than you are thinking. The mechanic would have to pull the transmission and most likely raise the engine to get the pan off. He would also need to remove the pulley to get to the seal, most likely the timing cover to remove the seal, and the water pump to remove the cover

The man hours are just adding up. I would say a good days work.

I would say $800 Parts/Labor

I couldn't guess on hours or parts but the above logic is rock solid far as what this will take dis assembly wise.

Yes a lot of labor.

The oil pan gasket is riveted on so the whole pan might have to come out so you can drill the rivets out, I don't think you can squeeze a drill in there while the pan is on the car..

I would guess 1000-1500 depending on the shop and usual $100/ hr shops like to charge..

It's instances like these when its better to buy your own tools and the $30 gasket and learn to do it.. Take the bus for a week

when i had it done about 6-8 months ago the gasket/seal kit was almost 100$ for everything, then high temp rtv was 3$, and i had it done while my suspension was getting swapped so k-member was already coming down. easier to ask how much ppl charge to drop the k-member cause from there it takes 15 minutes or less.
