GM replacment crankshaft
My qustion is does anyone know or have purchased one to know if they come with a reluctor wheel installed? Or do I need to buy one and have it installed?
You can find good used, stock cranks, at a fair price with reluctor wheels installed, on ebay. The seller might even polish the journals for you, for free. I found one for $200/free shipping.
so time is coming around that im going to take the motor apart again and want a new 24t.r.w stock crank.. does it need balancing ?
just a side note i have been spinning the motor to 6700rpm for the last year at lest 5 times a day.. still going strong.. if once apart and all the bearings looks good i might just reuse the crank.. ! but i plan on boosting 15psi and a 200shot .. kinda worried #4 wont hold up..
I didn't check the balance of my replacement crank. When the stock rods & pistons were out of the engine, I weighed them & brought them each to the same weight.
