valve reliefs in pistons

valve reliefs in pistons i just need to know if any of the factory pistons in early ls1's had valve reliefs in the pistons. i just pulled the head for the first time since owning the car for a bottom end rebuild and found valve reliefs. to my knowlege no factory ls had that. any one ever seen it?

lmao i had thought my motor hadnt been broken into until now but i am wrong on that point i guess lol. i picked a combo that wont need them so i may go bigger now. possibly even a 383 if its not already haha. havent gotten that far down yet
