Default 383 heads and intake questions

I currently have a HKE 383 with a 244/250 .612/.595 112+2 cam with PRC stage 2.5 5.3 heads with a LS6 Intake and stock 78mm TB. Drivetrain I have a TDP Stage 3 transmission and clutch and a MWC Fab 9in 3.70's. And I recently had a speed density tune done and it put down 427 RWHP and 425 torque and i'm wanting to get a little more out of it NA before I spray.

So what i'm getting to is that I needs to upgrade my heads and intake and TB and maybe cam but I wanna keep the same cam for now. I might go and see what size cam Pat G suggest but we will see. I'm wanting to build a fun street car that I can drive anywhere and have no worries about it failing at the track or the street. So what do ya'll suggest i'll be doing a 150-200 shot I know i'm going with a FAST intake and TB but what heads ??

Oh and after I sell my old parts plus cash that I have I should have around 4,000 to play with.

The FAST intake and bigger TB alone should put you close to 450 hp. Fully ported 243 heads might gain you a little, but if you really want to change heads, maybe you should consider Trick Flow 215 or something similar.

I think it's an easy high ten second car WITHOUT the shot already, but Lord, let it breathe!

AFR 215's, TFS 215's, or PRC 227's... AI has their new 232 set out, and TEA has their stage 2's if you want to stick with 243/799 heads.

dont think the heads are limiting as much as that tiny intake and TB@!!
Get a better setup on top of that thing I bet you pick up 25-30whp
That cam and intake are polar opposites IMO

I say get at least a ported Fast90 or 92 and TB on there before touching the heads. Of course there are better heads out there but your intake setup is leaving a lot on the table especially for a 383 with that big cam. The cam you have maybe excellent for your setup with a better flowing intake. But I would see what a cam expert(s) has to say also. Because a custom cam swap along with a Fast intake would likely do you better than a head swap, as far as performance gain per dollar.

Intake and TB first and then look at a good set of aftermarket casting heads if you want more.

That's the point of this thread. He's looking for HEAD suggestions. He's already stated and knows he's getting a FAST.

Thanks for the input guys I was just going to do it all at once but I think i'm going to go with a 92 TB and intake from fast and go from there. But I know I need to start spending money on interior and a decent stereo and speakers I only have a couple that work now. And my head unit is from 2004 or 2005 but that's for another section.......

You need a better top end my friend, I was in the same position last year with my 383. Try to find a used fast 90+tb in the classifieds, aftermarket heads will really make it shine. $1600 and you can have a set of PRC as cast 225s that will flow really well and are stock rocker friendly. If you got the cash TFS 225s or AFR 230s will bring it right to the front. My best 1/8th mile time last year on motor was mid 7.20s with a stock top end, Im hoping with the heads and intake I can run close to 6s on motor, im sure I can if I can get the 60fts a little better, 1.56 right now.

Just reread your post lol, yea fast setup and some AFR 230s bam done. screw the nitrous, youll end like me and hate the car when the nitrous isnt on hahaha. It will be a pretty nasty street machine on the motor with those heads and intake.
