Yea 3k-5k above sea level. And the car went 11.66 @ 120 with a few broken valve springs. I fixed the valve spring and got to make 1 pass. It trapped 122 and went 11.70 with a 1.89 60ft. Honestly though S346K has a point. Buy an LS3 and sell your LS1 for some of the money back. Some LS3 Vettes are breaking 500rwhp cam only. Finding a low mileage LS3 would cut some of the maintenance out to. Not having to replace 100k mile lifters, timing set, oil pump, no need for pulling the heads. It'd definately be something to consider.

Yes I've got 4.10s in a 9". A LQ9 is just a iron 6.0 with flat tops. Imo the added weight wouldn't justify the little bit of power you'd pick up and would still put you needing to do a heads/cam/intake. People use them because they're cheap and plentiful and alot of people stroke them. An LS3 has good heads/intake to begin with. Thats why some Vettes crack 500rwhp cam only. It is hard to justify pulling a perfectly good engine instead of modding it but honestly I think in the long run your better off with a LS3. And about the DA, a guy I know with a 6.0 swapped S10 picked up .3 and 4mph just switching tracks.

The setup you listed with the ms4 and prc 227 is a great combo based on what you have in mind with the car. Of course you will have a less broad power band than a smaller range cam but that is what gears are for. You need 4.10's and if thats not enough 4.56's. Your power band is a little more narrow than a smaller cam and you need to stay in that range as much as you can so that you can use the extra power. Sure you can make less power with a more average power band from 3k up but you will be leaving power on the table. There is nothing wrong with that but its really comes down to what you want to do. The combos listed by others are good too, but again its what you really want.
If you goal is the fastest et. available as you stated then thats the way to go hands down.
