Default Valve Spring Recommendation

Is .660 lift too much for a GM hotcam?

go with one of brian tooleys spring kits. that a very reasonably priced and a great quality product.

Its the spring pressures that you got to worry about, not the lift rating

I think you can use LS6 springs with the hot cam. But I'd recommend a high quality beehive since the harmonics are so much better. PSI 1511 or PAC 1518.

PAC springs are a great drop in for this type of application. Give us a shout if you have any questions on them.

IMO, the LS6 springs are more than enough for the GM Hotcam, but if you want something better then the PAC 1218s($120) would be a great choice. IMO, there's no need to spend more or go with a higher lift valve springs.

Thanx man. I'll look into that what sponsors carry them.

BTR makes high quality valve springs and I'd normally recommend them, but I'd still think they're overkill with the low lift and mild cam lobe ramp rates of the GM Hotcam.

Another vote for the PAC 1518's. I'm running them and have had great success with them.

Id agree they may be more than what he needs, but if you have the money to spend they wont hurt anything.

I already have the gm hotcam installed it came in the car when I purchased it. And thanx Tainted, that's what I needed I know. I'm glad it won't hurt anything.
