98 z28 ls1
I have a 1998 Z28 that i want to do more mods to but not sure whats the best route to go!! The car already has SLP cold air, Magic Stick 4 Cam, Long tube headers, 3" off road x pipe w/o cats, dual magnaflow race mufflers, 6 Speed trans, 3.73 rear end gears and Dyno Tuned. Im thinking of putting a F.A.S.T. 92mm intake manifold and PTM 92mm throttle body or LS2 Heads!! Whats the better option?

The 102 will undoubtedly perform the best and will not effect your driveability.
2nd your current intake sucks. You would obviously gain power by getting heads now but you wouldnt be able to exploit their potential with your current intake. Get the intake now and when you add heads your gains will be even better.

If you have an LS1 intake then a Fast intake will definately help.
The 102 will get you a little more power, but cost more than the 92.
The underdrive pulley will free up 5-8 hp generally and allow you to rev up quicker.
You might try an LS6 intake and some better heads.
Whats your budget?
What part of Oklahoma do you live in?

I would get a set of ported heads and just run an LS6 intake for now, and you can always upgrade to a F.A.S.T. later as an intake swap is simple compared to doing a head job. Not only that but if he buys a 102 for $850, he still has to get a TB, fuel rails etc. to run it. Just my 2 pennies...

they pop up quite a bit here on the classified section at the bottom of the forum page...
Browse around you can get the fast 102 used, and heads... mind you, I would get whatever head you end up getting cleaned up with atleast a small mill job...
If you live in an area where they don't work and do stuff like that, then look into some heads that are done already..

Don't neglect your suspension....You have to be able to keep the car planted to the ground and prevent dimples in your rear fenders and typical abuse to the chasies. Tranfer of hp/torque to the ground is acheived with a stout suspension setup.
