sleeve question
sleeve question ok guys i know i post alot but plz bear with me. As we all know our engine have a piston slap, oil consumtion knoking problem. I heard that gm had put out some new ring desing that is supose to help this. Is there anything else out there that could help with this problem, exept machining the block. So it would have to be something i could buy and install in a home garage, or do in a home garage. Iam rebuilding my engine in a home garage and i want to put it back in the car with all the little fixes to the problems it has, or at least as many as possible. Please let me know what you all know.

Don't bother. I had my rings replaced and it didn't do anything. The problem is in the tolerences of the block and the fact that GM went to skirtless pistons.
Mine was so bad I got a new engine from my extended warranty company.

ps: could i get skirt pistons for an ls1 are they sold by anyone, and would they fit?
