what are 806 heads worth assembled???
Jus as the title says, wanna kno an estimate on dollar amount on the worth of 806 heads assembled, don't kno what spring or valves are in them, I'm assuming there stock. I don't kno the mileage on them but i brought them with a LQ4 and a friends dad is thinking bout buying these to replace the heads on him 4.8. He want more torque and possibly a towing cam...

i asked the same 'what are they worth' question one time since they came stock on my 98 SS.....they're not very well liked on this site, i think someone told me that they make a really good door stop.....someone who is rebuilding another LS motor for a non-race application might be able to make use of them, but they're perimeter bolt heads so they'll need the right valve covers......tell him to give you 50 bucks and be glad they're gone
that being said, i made my 400rwhp goal with 806's......they're not horrible, but they definitely aren't great either

I think his 4.8 came with 706 heads, so would it be worth him buy these 806 off me and buying a towing cam, or stay with the 706 upgrade springs, push rods, lifters(if needed) and put a cam in and tune??? Thanks

Nope. Shipping was 70 though (Canada). Supposedly they came off a 98 camaro ss with 40k miles on them. That's very believable. Looking at the combustion chambers, I'd definitely say they came off a healthy engine. Now to just find a use for them...

As the owner of an engine with 806 heads, I myself would like to say they are worth at least $1500, but alas, I cannot lie. They are only worth $1350.
Really though, people upgrade from 806's to pretty much any other OEM head, and 241's sell for like $100 per pair.
