pushrod/mill question
got my head back from porter and he said that the back of the rocker arm will be 0.050" closer to the cam centerline, does that mean I'll need a 0.050" shorter pushrod. The head was also flat milled 0.005" for flatness
This is a theoretical question, I'm just curious.
In the long run, I will get a pushrod checker to verify but just want to know.
thanks in advance

Why will it be that much closer, did he recess the valves or are they different valves?
Based on his description, yes a 0.050" shorter pushrod should work unless you are doing a cam at the same time. However, if he did do something with the valve height, you need to verify rocker geometry before figuring out the pushrod length. If the heads are off, you can do this on the work bench where it is easier.
