How do you break in a cam on a LS1?

Some of the comp techs are great others and most are morons. I talk to a guy and he just couldn't figure out why you would shift passed peak power <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

All they do is grind cams for what we want. And they tell us what we want to hear. They are there to tell u ur right and make u happy, or agree with u if it can't hurt. Again it's just wasting gas to break it in like they told u.

u8dusst is correct, GM does cycle our motors, but never fires them, i forgot the actual term for it, but it just allows everything to rub together all nice like, without a load imposed on anything, so everything seats nicely, and get along well when you fire it up the first time.

I dont care what comp cams said if you use assembly lube it will clog up the pressure relief valve and therefor dump all of the oil back to the pan. Reason I know this. I DID IT. I work on cars all the time that is my profession. Trust me.
