ls1 build question
ls1 build question I am building an ls1 with forged pistons and I just ran across a set of Eagle H beam rods that are 6.125 long.....can I run these with a stock crank if I order for pistons 4 a 6.125 rod....

they will both work with stock crank.. But just know that piston ^ is made of 4032 material not 2618..
alot of the professionals recommend 2618 since its a softer material and more forgiving when you add a power adder (nitrous, turbo, etc)

I will be running a 150 shot....I was originally going to stick with the stock pistons and rods and just throw my motor back together but I have hit every road block so I said screw it and I want to order rods and forged pistons...it made 568 to the wheels with the stock stuff...and I found a steal on the rods ...so I figured why not

Verdad Gallardo I got mahl pistons and those eagle h beams...should be here Tuesday then I take it all to the machine shop to get my cylinders honed, crank polished, and get the rotating assay balanced
yea usually, stuff gets outta hands sometimes also.. But just remember this is the ''internet" and half the things you hear are wrong lol
