a 224 or 228 cam is hardly an upgrade imo. if it isnt a 230+ duration and 600+ lift then doing a cam swap (pretty much 1k done right) was a complete waste of money to get 30 whp gain and leaving so much more on the table. just my thoughts. im thinking about doing a cam from tick in my c5z

well the one I was most interested in was the 228 cam and it is advertised at 45-50 rwhp gain. Is that not true?

In my personal experience what is "advertised" and what actually happens in real is almost always different. I remember a buddy of mine years back threw a cam in his 98 Z28 (don't remember the cam) and gained like 28 hp.

yea I hear ya HCI. I haven't heard a single negative thing about TSP though so I figured what they advertised should be pretty dependable.

Martin@tick performance..has 2 lines of.kick *** cams. He's also the only sponser on this site that interacts with everyone and helps tremendously. Search his name. I'm running his sns 3 for my dd. I almost got the v3 from texas speed until I talked to martin. We can give you advice, but the best thing to do is call and spec out a cam specifically for your needs/wants.
