Its all stock except they took off the muffler and added a flowmaster it sounds good to me. Just want to know some pointers of what i should do to my TA, trying to get 400 HP out of it and im happy.

Well you will want to start with a Head/cam kit to get you close to your 400hp goal...
I like texas speeds packages because they have alot of what you need minus a few parts..
http://www.texas-speed.com/p-1160-pr...m-package.aspx
this is a good start, this kit will get you to 400hp... they have other stages of port work and the price goes up from there..
Trickflow, AFR, etc.. those are aftermarket castings and usually out do ported GM castings (241,853,243)
and then you will want some headers to help it all breath better, then a tune...

Thanks man ill check out that site and see into it, if I get a head cam kit is it something they can remove and put the new one on or is it a long drawn out process of taking the engine out and tearing it down!

you dont have to take the engine out to do a heads/cam but If you havent worked on your car before you will need to do alot of research beforehand...
heres the just of it

if it looks too involved or your not comfortable then you can always start with "bolt on's"
like Long tube headers, exhaust, you have a ls6 intake already which is good (can always upgrade to a FAST intake down the road) If your an automatic you can get a stall converter which I recomend to be your first mod if you do have the A4 (automatic 4spd)

a texas speed torquer v3 cam will make 400rwhp.get a good exhaust system ,and a ported TB.delete the cats.consider a mail order tune from Frost.get a ls2 timing chain and a comp cam trunnion bearing upgrade for the stock rocker arms.

Have about $3k+ to do it.
This was my intentions and was going to be happy with 380-400rwhp and a goal of $2500 and im now bumping close to $5k into this. Although I am doing EVERYTHING... trunions, clutch, slave, lifters, dual valve springs over beehives, but I did opt for CNC ported heads which was a little better than a grand in itself but now I should be looking closer to the 440rwhp range. You get this thing in your head that goes well youre already this far you might as well do it right and not leave anything on the table that leaves you wanting more or you will get it together and think I shouldve just done the lifters or went with ported heads etc. but pretty much what everyone is saying above is what you will need. You should already have the LS6 intake beings youre a 2002 so next would be cam, valve springs, push rods, long tubes, off road y pipe if you can get away with it in your state. Recommend lifters but that involves removal of heads, trunion upgrade, oil pump, timing chain, o ring for the pick up tube then of course tune and such. List keeps going.

Well if you have an addictive personality like me, then you won't be satisfied really easy... If your going to do mods to your car, make sure the supporting mods are involved there too..
But if I were you I would ditch the v6, too much of a hassle and too much $$ and too much time...
