Default Give my pushrod length a second look for me

Okay so I finally got some time to use my Comp pushrod checker that I got from Texas Speed. I measured both of the exhaust and intake valves on cylinder 1 and 3 and here is what I found.
Cylinder 1 intake 10.5, 10.5
Cylinder 1 Exhaust 10.6, 10.4
Cylinder 3 Intake 10.2, 10.2
Cylinder 3 Exhaust 10.4, 10.5

Now these were my measurements of how many turns it took me to get to zero lash. Here is my math for cylinder 1 intake:
10.5 x .05 (amount in one full turn) = .525
.525 + .06 (for preload) = .585
.585 + 6.8 (min length of pushrod checker) = 7.385

so here is my ideal length for each of these valves assuming that my desired preload is .06.
Cylinder 1 Intake = 7.385
Cylinder 1 Exhaust = 7.385
Cylinder 3 Intake = 7.37
Cylinder 3 Exhaust = 7.383

Would I be okay using standard length 7.400 rods? Obviously it would up my preload some but I don't think it would be enough to be detrimental. I'm using a 228r 112lsa cam with original 241 heads/gaskets/lifters, just changed out pushrods and some new beehive texas speed valvesprings.

That'd be fine. The variance is just what it is. The stock lifters can take a pretty wide preload and .080 to .100" is probably best with stockers.

Some have reported quieter setups with less preload so that 7.375" might be an option as well.

Cylinder 3 Exhaust = 7.833

I am assuming this is a typo, and you just switched the "8" and "3"? If so, then yeah, I would say to go with the 7.400" too

Yes that was a typo, it's been fixed. Okay glass to hear it because I already bought the 7.400
