I thought you said it wasnt the bumper support stopping the screws? The only metal piece I can think of that would be stopping the screws that I can think of would be that.
Wish I could of seen it myself. You shouldnt of had to drill like that. Maybe you had the screws at way too much of an angle? Strange.

If you ever decide to take out your bumper support like me I can shoot you some pics on how bullet proof my ssra is with the screws.

You should at least gain .1 and 1mph. Pretty sure you have seen this but i'll post my results FYI https://ls1tech.com/forums/drag-raci...oof-works.html

It couldn't have been the bumper support, or the screws would not have gone in at all correct? I know a couple of the screws were at more of an angle than others, but that didn't seem to make a difference. Either way...it's in now and not going anywhere lol

Yes I have seen that thread you made a while back, and to be totally honest your results were one of the major reasons I went with the SSRA!

I also might have a race set up this Sunday with a ported/pullied 03 Cobra who beat me maybe by a car before. I'm hoping to close that gap with the new mods Here is a vid of that race that last time...tell me your predictions if you will lol
