^Yea I figured lol. Are all those goodies on your car already? I didnt know you had any of that stuff!

Im doin all the supporting stuff like LS2 chain, trunion upgrade, LS6 oil pump, LS2 lifter trays, even gonna do LS6 PCV I think. The only thing I dont know on is lifters.. LS7s were my plan but now Im having second thoughts due to some stuff Ive read? Morel 5920 "street" seem like a favorite around here but theyre kinda pricey. Anyone have info on those to share? thanks

Lol no there collecting dust in the basement, they make my car reeeal fast there don't they? But I just keep gathering parts, I hate to do the engine first and then be afraid to run it bc the 10 bolt, that's the only reason I haven't pulled the trigger and bought the rest of stuff to put it together! But on the lifters I know I've heard good from the morel 5206 ones with the link bars but again like you said PRICEY, that's probly why they came out with the street ones!

Since your pulling the heads for lifters, I'd get some 243's, BTR lifters, sell the LS6 intake and get a ported LS2 and a 90mm TB. Ported LS2 will flow as much as an older FAST un ported and its only $400 for port work and people pretty much give those things away. I got mine for free!!

That's a negative on the LS2. Ported it might flow what the LS6 flows. Maybe.

Yea Ive heard many ppl say LS6 over LS2. Im gonna go for 243s/799s and probably just get them milled and call it a day. Im still trying to figure out which lifters to go with. Which Brian Tooleys are good to go with? Street/strip app.

Stock LS2 beats the LS6 for sure, especially down low. Once ported properly, the LS2 will be closer to on par with a FAST 90 un ported. Once I get my pos together I'll gladly do a back to back LS6 vs ported LS2. Get the BTR SLR's, cheap and perfect for what your doing. Much better than LS7's too.

There are plenty of dyno graphs on this site that show the LS2 is worse than an LS6, even when ported. It's basically on par with an LS1.

That's a waste of money.

****...I am installing some milled 243s on my 99 this weekend, tossing in new LS7 lifters, BTR springs and pushrods...I should have checked into those SLRs.........

Nobody has run them yet. They look good on paper, however.

Yes, sorry, my very trusted source is misinformed. I can admit when Im wrong

I have a set of the BTR lifters going in a friends car, not sure when he'll put it all together though. Probably next week. They look much better in person than on paper too. Top quality, hopefully no issues with them, and judging by his spring's quality there wont be any

LS2 intake truly is inferior when comparing to a LS6 intake. You would think that an intake with a 90mm TB would flow better than one with a 78mm TB, but it's not the case unfortunately.
