I have an LS1 looking to put a set of 243 heads on when I get them I keep hearing about stage 1,2 or 3 porting.
Im in So Calif does anybody know of good machinist.
Also purchased an LS6 intake now looking for proper cam for street use and autocrossing.

WCCH would be good out there in California.

Other options include TEA and Ai for ported 243s that run a little cheaper than the WCCH offerings. But if WCCH is local to you, it might be a wash with shipping.

Good cam would be something like a 226/230 using EPS lobes or a 228/232 from Ed Curtis (his StreetSweeper-HT). Both would work incredibly well with ported 243 heads.

Jake I think the about the biggest cam he can run in California is a 224 unless he goes with a super wide lsa to make up for the larger duration...if I remember right out there you need atleast a -4 degree overlap to pass smog tests.

If it's in a 1956 F100, do the Cali emissions laws still hold? Is that what this is going into?
