Well as title says.. I got my heads ported and polished, and when I got them back, I got two strange hollow metal cylinder pieces back. Can anyone tell me what the heck these are?? Go figure it won't let me upload an image of it, so the closest thing I can compare them to are the top half of a factory hat style valve guide seal..

send pic to the company that did the work and ask their tech what is up?

 

Used during installation so the heads don't slip off the block.

As has been said...head dowels...

There is one in the lower right hand corner in this pic...

 

Used for holding the head and I presume head to block alignment also. Use them.

 

make sure you hang on to them, $6 a piece!
