Default newbie questions

I am very new to the ls style engines and matching their parts. I been searching here and can't find some of my answers so I thought I'd ask for some of them. I'm in the "I want to try and get in the 500hp club".Future plans is I may want to add turbo but undecided right now. I have a 04 lq4 6.0 from a 2500 truck. I bought some l92 heads but not sure to use those or not over the 317's that came on it to get the most power. I don't like the looks of the truck intake so I was looking to change that to a ?. If I go looking for the ? intake what years fits and is there mods that have to be made to make it work. Info on the best head and intake matches. Maybe yall can point me to a good build post that someone has built with lots of thumbs up with what they went with. It's going to be mostly a cruiser and show car with alil strip time but I want it to have the nads when I push the pedal. I'm looking for a 4l80e trans. I figure I'd go ahead and put a tough trans in and have that out of the way incase I add turbo but its hard to find that trans here . If I cant find that trans anytime soon what years should I look for in the 4l60e and from what vehicles will work and any mods to do that one. It's going in a 72 nova. I hope my questions made sense. Typing on the phone has me all messed up

not sure if you're looking to achieve all of that N/A or not, but this thread should be a good primer for you on what it takes to get there.

I believe the ls3 intake has rectangle ports, where as the intake that you have are cathedral shape ports, so you should be looking for a ls6 intake if your going on a budget, of fast 102 if you want to spend some money, but I may be wrong about the port shapes.

I made 481rwhp with a 383 LS1, heads, cam, 92mm fast intake, if I had a lq4 I'd be looking at a 408 build to make 500rwhp on motor and turbo later

He says he has l92 heads though and that's gonna need a rectangle port intake.

Thanks Nissan and the others. Yeah I'm trying to stay on the budget build. I read a lot and hear a lot of great things on these motors. I get confused on when I find a part and they have it listed as what year and car it will fit. Is there something I can look at that will show what will interchange onto the 04 lq4 from a truck.
