To much oil pressure?

To much oil pressure? On a cold start my car will go to around 75 psi and with throttle will peg the gauge. Normal driving cold I get the 75ish psi. Hot I get around 60lbs and driving I get roughly 65-70. This is with a ported TSP LS6 pump, stock pan, pick up etc. Its a heads/cam car stock bottom end. Before the pump the car kept 60lbs on a cold start and 40lbs hot. Is this normal?

I was using 5w30 but since it was going to be living at high rpm most of the time I started using 5w40 rotella T6. It only really effected the pressure on cold start if I gave it slight throttle and it was very little of change. Just seems to take a little less throttle to make it peg the gauge. And by throttle I'm talking less than 2k rpm.
