Default Feedback on internal rust.

I pulled this ls1 out of 00 z28 at a junkyard. The car was wrecked and bottomed out and there was about a 2x2 inch hole in the oil pan. Also, the egr hole in the top of the intake was open and there was no hood on the car. I pulled the oil pan and couple places are rusted, a spot on the crank, cam, and reluctor wheel. I've had two people look at it, and both have said its fine, and that they would run it as is. But I would like some more opinions. I know the pics probably arnt the best but its all I have.

I would not run that in my car. Could have a machine shop clean it up for you.

I'd definitely have a machine shop clean up for you. Dont take a chance those are critical parts.

Thanks guys. I had an actual ls mechanic come look at it today and he said he would take the crank out atleast take some scotchbrite to the crank and reluctor.
